Abstract:
PDF documents have been utilised in business for many years, but perhaps not to the extent or level possible.
This project explores the utilisation of PDF in the publishing and distribution of a corporate profile for a training organisation. PDF has a number of interactive elements such as audio, video and flash which may be incorporated in the presentation. Through the creation of this brochure, these additional aspects were explored however not utilised to the extent possible. Initially, the purpose of this project was to become familiar with the PDF publication process. In future projects, the additional functionality may be explored through the use of direct integration of such items as audio, video and flash interactions, including the link to websites and online forms.
Content:
The project incorporates audio, text and imagery derived from online sources.

Other potential study topics:
During the process of creating this project, many other functions and capabilities of the Adobe Acrobat software were discovered. In particular, the ability to incorporate interactive elements is a hugely desirable attribute for a corporate brochure. This would allow the brochure to lead the viewer to take immediate action on what they were interested in such as sampling an online course, watching a corporate showreel or video and submitting an online form.
Questions and Answers: (see attached PDF assessment)
Creating such a brochure in the Articulate Suite could be done in a lab exam or as an individual assignment or performance assessment. The content for the brochure could be provided in a word format, with the assessment to be the creation of suitable branding and images for the final project. I would anticipate that the assessment would be best done from home as it could potentially take up to 10 hours to design and develop.
